WVFT arranged WV Cup 2004
Fight against drugs

World Vision Foundation of Thailand arranged a press conference on 23 November 2004 at its office on Soi Sukhumvit 63, Bangkok to open the 2nd “World Vision (Supanimit) Cup to win the prestigious HRH Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn Cup and HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirinthon Cup. The match is used as a means to fight against drugs and AIDS among young people. Several experts and advisory committee from various government organizations were invited to speak their views on this event. These figures were Mr. Pirom Aunprasert, Director of National Soccer Referee, a representative from AIDS Office and the Office of the Narcotic Control Board.

World Vision Cup National Championship 2004 will be held from 26 November to 1 December 2004 at Thammasat University Sports Stadium, Rangsit Campus. The competition will take place in 2 forms. The youth football for boys not over 12 years of age is competing for HRH Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn Cup and the youth volleyball for girls of similar age for HRH Maha Chakri Sirinthon Cup.

This is the 2nd year that World Vision Cup is being held. Its purpose is to motivate young people to play sports and protect themselves from drugs and AIDS. The teams competing for the national championship 2004 are the winners in the recent regional competitions. A portion of the team includes WVFT’s sponsored children and the rest are students from different schools who are coming together to fight against drugs and AIDS with WVFT.

Her Royal Highness Princess' Visitation

 On February 11, 2004, Mr. Chusak Wuthiwaropas, Executive Director of World Vision Foundation of Thailand (WVFT) had the opportunity to receive an audience with Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirinthon, who presided as Opening Ceremony Chairperson of the Natural Park Project, Suanpueng district, Rachaburi province.....more
