Rerm is a fourth grade student in this small country side school in Kaenharnmaew district, Chantaburi province. She is studious and hard working. She says," studying is important. It gives you knowledge and you are able to get good jobs." She dreams of becoming a teacher when she grows up.

In reality she faces hardship and poverty after her parents separated, abandoning her and two brothers with her aged grandmother at 80.

Her life is uncertain and her hope of studying might end like her older brother who dropped out of school after finishing grade six to help provide for the family.

What festive seasons may it be, New Year or Chinese New Year, you wish happiness and joy for you and your family. Rerm and her brothers like other needy children have also the same wishes. However, their wishes are farfetched.
