Children not meeting development milestones at critical stages of their early years are more likely to experience difficulties in their adulthood and some become vulnerable to violence, abuse and exploitation. We address barriers to early childhood development by working with communities, volunteers, local authorities and local organisation network to enhance the capacity of parents and families to provide food for their children, development of learning materials, livelihood support, hygiene, nutrition, and home-based learning.

Providing support through Go-baby-go Initiative

It is a programme designed for children ages 0-3 years old to enhace their age-appropriate development through the support of caregivers, community networks, community stakeholders and service providers. Go-baby-go ensures that parents and caregivers raise happy and healthy babies by empowering them to provide a safe environment and positive experiences that facilitate optimal child development.

Providing support through Learning Roots+ (LR+) Initiative

This programme is designed to meet the development and learning needs of children from ages 3 through 6, preparing them for a successful transition to primary school. Aside from early learning and development, LR+ also integrates nutrition and child protection. We train teachers, parents, community members to build recrea places and spaces of safe environment. Pre-school children are also provided with learning media and materials at home, childcare centres, schools, or the community library.

Providing Nutritious Meals through Breakfast Project

The ‘Breakfast for Kids Project’ ensures that children have breakfast every morning. Children receive essential nutrition and their parents are taught about nutrition, learn the effects of malnutrition, and understand how to better care for their young ones.
