The Department of Climate Change and Environment, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment,<\/strong> organised the CCE Children & Youth Forum<\/strong> from 20 to 21 August 2025. The event was presided over by Dr Pirun Saiyasitpanich,<\/strong> former Director-General of the Department of Climate Change and Environment, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, to promote the role of youth in driving sustainable climate solutions.<\/p>

At the event, World Vision Foundation of Thailand<\/strong> was honoured with an award recognising its role as a supporting organisation for the Children and Youth Climate and Environmental Network Project for the year 2025<\/strong>. This reflects the organisation\u2019s commitment to collaboration with network partners in support of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, General Comment No 26 on children\u2019s rights and the environment, with a focus on climate change. World Vision Foundation of Thailand recognises the direct impact of climate change on children of all ages and is dedicated to creating learning spaces and empowering youth to play an active role in environmental conservation and climate crisis response.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

World Vision Foundation of Thailand\u2019s youth environmental projects also received one gold award and nine silver awards, as follows:<\/p>

Dr Pirun Saiyasitpanich,<\/strong> former Director-General of the Department of Climate Change and Environment, stated:<\/p>

\u201cThe Department of Climate Change and Environment places great importance on children and youth as a vital force in addressing climate issues. We promote youth networks and capacity building to enable them to represent Thailand at national and international platforms, such as COP and TCAC, through activities like the Children & Youth Session, which facilitates the exchange of ideas and policy proposals. We also support climate-adaptation and environment-action projects in collaboration with both domestic and international partners.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

He concluded: \u201cToday, I would like to thank World Vision Foundation of Thailand and The Council of Creative and Social Development Youth Organization for recognising the importance of and participating as supporting organisations in the Children and Youth Climate and Environmental Network.<\/em> I also extend my gratitude to the project evaluation committee from Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, UNICEF Thailand, and UNDP Thailand. Most importantly, I thank all the children and youth networks working on climate and environmental issues for their efforts in driving tangible and sustainable change to address the global boiling crisis.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In addition to the award ceremony for outstanding children and youth networks, the event featured a discussion forum on the topic \u2018Children and Youth Networks and Their Role in Driving Climate Action in Thailand\u2019, <\/strong>as well as a workshop aimed at enhancing project effectiveness and alignment with national and international policies.<\/p>

The CCE Children & Youth Forum served not only as a key platform for youth to unite in tackling climate challenges, but also as a testament to the serious commitment of partner organisations\u2014especially World Vision Foundation of Thailand, which was honoured for its support in advancing the Children and Youth Climate and Environmental Network Project.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
