On 9 September 2025, the Pakorn Angsusing Foundation<\/strong> and the Department of Social Development and Welfare, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security,<\/strong> jointly organised the Outstanding Social Worker Awards Ceremony in honour of Pakorn Day 2025.<\/strong> The event was presided over by Mr Palakorn Suwannarat, <\/strong>Privy Councillor, and attended by Mr Anukul Peedkaew,<\/strong> Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security; Mr Kantapong Rangsesawang,<\/strong> Director-General of the Department of Social Development and Welfare; Associate Professor Apinya Wechayachai,<\/strong> Chair of the Executive Board of the Pakorn Angsusing Foundation; along with executives from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and representatives from government agencies, academic institutions, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and civil society organisations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

World Vision Foundation of Thailand<\/strong>, a Christian development and charitable organisation operating in Thailand for over 50 years, has contributed to inspiring Thai society to overcome various challenges\u2014particularly the increasingly complex social issues affecting children, families, and social stability. It co-hosted the exhibition \u201cThe Power of Society: 9 Organisations Driving Change\u201d, presenting its 2026\u20132030 strategic plan, which aims to ensure that 4 million children, especially the most vulnerable, will experience sustained well-being within their families and communities by 2030.<\/em> The focus is on addressing key issues that impact the quality of life of children and youth, particularly the most vulnerable, through an integrated approach that connects four critical dimensions: education and life skills, child protection, health and nutrition, and climate change adaptation. These efforts will be carried out alongside advocacy for policy change and the promotion of meaningful participation by children and community members in expressing opinions and making decisions, to expand the impact on children\u2019s and youths\u2019 quality of life.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In addition, Mrs Rosalin Kowae, <\/strong>National Director of World Vision Foundation of Thailand, shared her experiences in \u201cTalks for Change: 9 Organisations, 9 Stories that Ignite Social Change… from the Heart of Practitioners\u201d. <\/strong>She conveyed the core ministry of World Vision Foundation of Thailand, which emphasises nurturing children to experience love and have hope.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\u201cWorld Vision Foundation of Thailand, in collaboration with World Vision International, conducted research on \u2018Children Experiencing God\u2019s Love & Hope for the Future\u2019. We found that only 24% of children in Thailand have hope for life. That means around 75%\u2014three out of four children\u2014do not see their future… If the majority of children in our country do not have hope, what will become of Thailand\u2019s future?<\/em><\/p>

Our strategic goal over the next five years is to ensure that every Thai child, especially the vulnerable, has the opportunity to develop their lives. We want them to recognise their self-worth, see hope in their future, and be able to rely on themselves. This is the goal we strive to achieve.<\/em><\/p>

Each of us plays a role in improving the lives of children, families, and communities\u2014across different contexts and target groups. The message I would like to leave with you today is that, beyond driving external factors such as physical needs or systemic support, we must also focus on internal development\u2014nurturing the spirit. This inner development is the driving force that brings hope and joy to children, ultimately leading to sustainable development.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
