True learning can only happen when children feel safe, secure, and cared for with understanding and attention from everyone in the school.<\/p>

Recognising this, the leadership of Wattana Wittayalai Academy<\/strong> underscores that having a child safeguarding system in educational institutions should not be a choice but a mandate for every school to implement actively. The school, therefore, partnered with World Vision Foundation of Thailand<\/strong> to organise the Child Rights,<\/strong> Child Protection and Safeguarding Workshop <\/strong>to empower teachers and school personnel.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Ms Lantip Dvadasin, Manager of Wattana Wittayalai Academy, shared about the workshop:<\/p>

\u201cEmbedding child safeguarding systems should not remain just a policy but must become part of our school culture. This includes having clear policies and procedures, defined roles and responsibilities, designated safeguarding personnel, staff training, and ongoing communication to build a safeguarding culture. It also involves safe staff recruitment practices. All of this aligns with the standards that have earned Wattana Wittayalai Academy official recognition as a Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) school. World Vision Foundation of Thailand integrated knowledge on child rights and child protection with its Safeguarding Policy and designed the training process for the workshop. The learning design was led by Faith Richelle<\/strong> Bullecer,<\/strong> Child Participation and Mobilisation Advisor at World Vision East Asia. The programme covered key topics including child rights, child protection, violence against children and the prevention of child abuse and exploitation, promoting safe environments, recognising signs of risks of child abuse, response and reporting procedures, and fostering engagement among schools, parents, and communities to create safety for children.<\/em><\/p>
