In every crisis, children are among the most vulnerable<\/strong>. When the southern floods forced many families to evacuate their homes and take shelter in temporary centres, the chaos and uncertainty left children facing fear, stress, and feelings of insecurity beyond their understanding.<\/p>

For some, this was the first time leaving behind their home, favourite toys, and schoolmates to stay in a new place filled with strangers, constant heavy rain, and news reports saying the water had yet to recede\u2014intensifying their anxiety.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

World Vision Foundation of Thailand understands that helping children is not only about<\/strong> providing food and a bed,<\/strong> but also caring for their emotional well-being so they feel safe and embraced with warmth. In times of crisis, what children need most is the reassurance that they are not alone.<\/strong><\/p>

\u201cWe started by bringing children together, teaching them about disasters, asking how they felt, listening to their stories, and talking about coping, preparation, and their needs. Then we moved on to the colouring activity.\u201d

Simple activities like colouring allow children to express their feelings. As their small hands gently add colours to paper, tension begins to ease, smiles return to their faces, and soft laughter fill the shelter, making the atmosphere warmer.<\/p>

Some drawings burst with bright colours; others show homes under clear skies, or families smiling together. These pictures reflect the hope that still lives in children\u2019s hearts\u2014even in the midst of crisis.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
