World Vision Foundation of Thailand continues to bring smiles and opportunities to children in remote areas by organising the \u201cHappy Children\u2019s Day\u201d event in celebration of National Children\u2019s Day 2026. The event was held at a school in Tap Tao Project in Chiang Rai Province, with volunteers and special guests joining in to create a lively atmosphere. The aim was to spread joy and encouragement to children living in this highland and mountainous community.<\/p>

The event was designed under the theme \u201cLearning Through Fun\u201d,<\/strong> focusing on strengthening teamwork and unity through various recreational games, including balloon-stomping and musical chairs. The children also showcased their talents through traditional dance performances and enjoyed playing games with Mrs Kae Chollada <\/strong>and Mr Prom Sirisant,<\/strong> who presented gifts and hosted a special lunch for more than 150 children and parents from the community\u2014filling the day with laughter, smiles, and memorable moments.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Mr Narong Paladon, Director of Ban Khun Huai Khrai School, <\/strong>expressed his gratitude for the support, emphasising that the activities offered not only entertainment but also great encouragement. He said, “Because Ban Khun Huai Khrai is located in a remote area, having an external organisation visit brings not only joy but also tremendous encouragement. Such support helps bridge gaps and opens doors for highland children to access developmental opportunities equal to those available to children in towns. This initiative is like extending tangible opportunities to every child in this community.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Mrs Kae Chollada Sirisant, <\/strong>who has long served as a World Vision Foundation of Thailand Ambassador, shared, \u201cThis is my second time joining the Children\u2019s Day celebration in the field with the organisation. I’m grateful to World Vision Foundation of Thailand for giving me the chance to experience the true meaning of sustainable giving. The smiles and joyfulness of the children reaffirmed how meaningful these efforts are. I hope every child understands that they are an important part of the future. <\/strong>We stand ready to walk alongside to support them to thrive and make their dreams come true.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The joy of the event was also reflected through the voices of the children. Wanida,a sixth grader,<\/strong> said: \u201cI\u2019m really happy that they came all the way here to organise fun activities for us this year. I loved the musical chairs game the most. Thank you for giving my friends and me snacks and gifts. Today\u2019s activities have inspired me to become a teacher in the future. I want to pass on knowledge to other children. I will study hard to achieve my dream.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Mr Anon Suansri, People & Culture Director at World Vision Foundation of Thailand,<\/strong> explained the intention behind this year\u2019s celebration:<\/p>

\u201cBecause children are at the heart of everything World Vision Thailand does, we therefore chose to celebrate Children\u2019s Day in a remote area such as the Tap Tao project, with the goal of filling opportunity gaps and creating special memories for the children. The meaningful experiences through creative activities help nurture children to grow strong and capable. The happiness and encouragement they receive today will motivate them to move forward with hope and resilience. Another special highlight of this year\u2019s Children\u2019s Day event was its alignment with the celebration of World Vision Foundation of Thailand\u2019s 50th anniversary. The organisation has received the plaque of honour for the \u201cOrganisation Supporting Child and Youth Development Work\u201d<\/strong> from Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.
