Amid the biting cold at the top of Mae Salong Hill in Chiang Rai Province, ten\u2011year\u2011old Tawan, <\/strong>a Grade 5 student, grows up in a small community, carrying a bright smile that warms the hearts of everyone he meets.<\/p>

Despite his simple life on the hilltop, the meaning of love <\/strong>runs far deeper.<\/p>

Tawan lives with his grandmother and younger sister. His parents separated, and his father now works as a construction worker in Bangkok to earn an income to support the family. As a result, Tawan sees his father only once a year during the Chinese New Year holidays. Even though Tawan misses his father dearly, he understands that his dad works hard so that he and his sister can have a better future.<\/p>

When asked about love, Tawan answers without hesitation: \u201cI miss my mum and dad\u2026 If I could have one special wish on Valentine\u2019s Day, I\u2019d wish for my parents to come back home and live together again.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

A short sentence reveals the pure longing of a boy whose heart is far stronger than anyone might imagine.<\/p>

His grandmother speaks of him with pride: \u201cHe\u2019s a good boy\u2014not stubborn, not mischievous. I want him to continue his studies and have higher education, have a bright future, and find a good job so that he won\u2019t have a hard life.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Even though his father is far away, Tawan receives warmth, love, and care from his grandmother. He studies hard, determined to fulfil his family\u2019s hope. And through the Child Sponsorship Programme <\/strong>of World Vision Foundation of Thailand, Tawan has access to education, nutrition, and a safe environment that supports his thriving.<\/p>

This Valentine\u2019s Day, Tawan\u2019s story reminds us that love does not need to be grand. It is often found in the smallest acts of care that give a child the strength to keep moving forward with confidence.<\/strong><\/p>

And each one of us can be part of this love, so that children like Tawan can grow up with a brighter future and the warmth of love \u2014 no matter the distance.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
