World Vision Foundation of Thailand, led by Dr Nyan Win Phyo, Migrant Populations Programme Manager, as the Principal Recipient of the Global Fund under the \u201cStop TB and AIDS through RRTTPR Year 2024\u20132026\u201d project, <\/strong>participated in the World TB Day 2026<\/strong> campaign. The event was organised by the Office of Public Health Communicable Disease, Health Department, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA),<\/strong> under the \u201cBangkok TB Control Capacity Development Project\u201d. The campaign sought to promote accurate health knowledge, foster understanding, and encourage appropriate self-care among the public\u2014grounded in respect for human dignity.<\/p>

The event took place on Tuesday, 24 March 2026, at the Prof Dr Saroch Bunsri Innovation Building, Srinakharinwirot University, Prasarnmit, Watthana District, Bangkok. The President of Srinakharinwirot University <\/strong>delivered the welcome remarks, followed by Ms Napatsachon Tanasit, Deputy Director of the BMA Health Department<\/strong> (acting on behalf of the Director), <\/strong>who presided over the opening ceremony. Representatives from government agencies, civil society organisations, and various health-sector partners attended the event.<\/p>

A panel discussion titled \u201cUnderstanding Tuberculosis: Preventable and Curable\u201d <\/strong>was also held, featuring:

Within the event grounds, five activity booths were set up by partner organisations, <\/strong>covering key topics:
Education on tuberculosis\u2014prevention and self-care
Awareness of health service access rights
Health communication tailored to diverse population groups
Information on continuous treatment and care

World Vision Foundation of Thailand also organised an activity booth to provide the public with health information and promote understanding of how to access health services. The particular emphasis was on supporting vulnerable population groups and strengthening comprehensive health literacy\u2014covering both physical and mental well-being. At the booth, accurate information was shared regarding health rights, self-care practices, and appropriate ways to access health services. These efforts aim to empower people to make informed and confident decisions about their own health.<\/p>

We emphasised clear, accessible communication rooted in respect for human dignity and free from discrimination. Our aim was to foster an open, friendly learning environment that enhances equitable access to health information and services, and promotes a society that is understanding, compassionate, and appreciative of the diverse needs related to health and quality of life.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
