In a festival, everyone anticipates joyous experiences. The 20th Phuket Chinese New Year Day and Old Phuket Town Festival has not disappointed the fair enthusiasts. Besides stage entertainment and gourmet local food, the street show by Ping Lumpraploeng has also brought merriment and laughter.
“I’ve come on behalf of World Vision,” Ping introduced himself after having entertained his audience to extend his invitation to donation. “If you love the show, feel free to donate some money to help poor kids. World Vision will deliver your kindness to the children.”
This is the 3rd time that Ping Lumpraploeng has partnered with World Vision Foundation of Thailand (WVFT) through his street show talents. “I’ve never thought that I’m here to give. I feel like I’ve taken something back every time I’m here, such as good energy and inspiration, only all the nice things,” said Ping.
Aside from the Phuket Chinese New Year Festival, Ping has also performed at Kajonkietsuksa School. The students have not only had a good time but also learnt to appreciate a sense of sharing.
Another act of kindness in the Phuket Chinese New Year Festival which cannot go without saying has been expressed by students from Phuket Wittayalai School, who were singing to passersby to help WVFT raise funds.
Phannaphat and Sarayuth, a high school senior and junior, respectively, said: “World Vision helps poor children. We’re here because we want to support this.”
