Samsung and World Vision Thailand Handed Relief Bags to the Flood-Stricken People in Southern Thailand (Read in Thai)

Thai Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd and World Vision Foundation of Thailand (WVFT) distributed 1,500 relief bags to the flood-affected people in Nakhon Si Thammarat province on 13 January, 2017. Thai Samsung’s Sales Manager, Mr Anan Rodkasem and a group of volunteers were joined by Mr Theerawut Worachat, WVFT’s Humanitarian Emergency Affair Coordinator and his team at WVFT’s Saplaeng project area, which covers 4 sub-districts including Chian Khao, Don Tro, Suan Luang and Thang Phun in Chalerm Phra Kiat district. Villagers affected by the floods travelled to receive the relief bags at the distribution point located in Thang Phun Temple. Samsung volunteers also helped to deliver the relief bags by cars and boats to the homes of the villagers whose travels are restricted by the flood, as well as gave them encouragement.

Previously Thai Samsung had collaborated with WVFT in the ‘Samsung Make a Wish’ project to help students at the remote Wat Thang Phun School in Chaloem Phra Kiat district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The project gave children an opportunity to build their potential in a comfortable, positive learning environment.
