World Vision Foundation of Thailand Partners with Seed Church Association

Strengthen Church Leadership through the “Celebrating Family Plus” Program

On 4 June 2026, the World Vision Foundation of Thailand (WVFT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Seed Church Association to implement the project titled “Strengthening Church Leaders through the Celebrating Family Plus Program.” This collaboration falls under the Faith and Development approach, aiming to strengthen families and communities through the role of churches.

The key objective is to build the capacity of church leaders to serve as facilitators of the Celebrating Family Plus program, and to effectively extend its impact to parents, caregivers, and surrounding community members within the church network.

Driving Churches as “Agents of Change”

This partnership highlights the role of churches as a key mechanism for social development, particularly in nurturing warm, safe, and supportive family environments that enable holistic child development—spiritually, emotionally, socially, and physically.

The Celebrating Family Plus program is designed as a practical tool to enhance knowledge, understanding, and skills for parents and caregivers in raising children with love, care, and positive values. It also promotes children’s positive self-image, healthy relationships with others, and a sense of hope and purpose in life.

In addition, the program integrates the principles of GEDSI (Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion) to ensure that all target groups have equal access to opportunities, with inclusiveness and a commitment to leaving no one behind.

Under this collaboration framework, the Seed Church Association will support the selection and coordination of participants from church networks to attend facilitator training sessions. The Association will also provide essential resources for training implementation, including accommodation, meals, transportation, and training materials.

Following the training, church leaders will transfer their knowledge and skills to parents and caregivers within their communities. This serves as a key mechanism for scaling impact at the local level and driving behavioral change at the household level.

Meanwhile, the World Vision Foundation of Thailand will provide expert facilitators and curriculum toolkits, as well as jointly conduct monitoring, evaluation, and results-based data collection to inform future program development.

An Integrated Partnership Mechanism Towards Impact:
“Valued Children, Strong Families, Hopeful Communities”

This collaboration operates under a complementary resource-sharing approach, maximizing the effective use of resources and promoting integrated teamwork. It reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to advancing sustainable child and family development through faith-based approaches and community engagement.

The project, “Strengthening Church Leaders through the Celebrating Family Plus Program,” is one of the key strategies under the Faith and Development work of the World Vision Foundation of Thailand. It focuses on transforming behaviors and values at the family level to ensure that children grow up in environments filled with love, understanding, and safety.

The partnership between the World Vision Foundation of Thailand and the Seed Church Association marks another significant step in building a strong “family support system” through the role of churches as community centers—bringing love, hope, and positive transformation to children, families, and Thai society in a sustainable way.
