‘Because Children Are at the Heart of Our Work’ – World Vision Foundation of Thailand Receives Honour Award for Its Contribution to Child and Youth Development

On National Children’s Day 2026, World Vision Foundation of Thailand proudly received an award that affirms over five decades of dedicated work for children.

On Saturday, 10 January 2026, Mrs Rosalin Kowae, National Director of World Vision Foundation of Thailand, together with Ms Kullwadee Sumalnop, Branding & Communications Division Manager, attended the opening ceremony of National Children’s Day. The event was held under the theme “MSDHS Closer to You: Making Every Day a Children’s Day” by Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS). They also represented the organisation in receiving the plaque of honour for the “Organisation Supporting Child and Youth Development Work”, presented by Mr Kantapong Rangsesawang, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.

To World Vision Foundation of Thailand, this award is more than a beautiful plaque – it is official recognition from the government that the organisation’s continuous efforts have created genuine value for Thai society. It reflects the organisation’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that children are at the heart of everything we do. World Vision Foundation of Thailand stands firm in being a source of hope, joy, and justice for all children.

This year’s National Children’s Day symbolises the collaboration between the government and World Vision Foundation of Thailand in striving to ensure that ‘every day is a children’s day’. The award received today marks an important milestone, reaffirming that no matter how much time passes, World Vision Foundation of Thailand will remain a steadfast shoulder for every child to lean on, and a guiding hand helping them step towards a bright future.

Following the award presentation, the atmosphere was filled with joy as many children and families gathered together. The organiser prepared a variety of activities across four exciting zones: Zone 1 featured a Royal Tribute to Her Majesty the Queen Mother; Zone 2 showcased the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy; Zone 3 offered a Family Fun Park; and Zone 4, called Delicious Treats, provided a relaxing area with food, snacks, ice cream, and drinks to keep everyone energised and enjoying the activities throughout the day.
