World Vision Foundation of Thailand Receives 102,000 Baht Donation from the Spanish–Thai Chamber of Commerce to Support the LIFE 2 Project Empowering Women and Girls in Underrepresented Communities

A significant step forward in strengthening collaboration to enhance the quality of life and build sustainability for women and girls in vulnerable communities

On 26 January 2026, World Vision Foundation of Thailand received a donation of 102,000 baht from the Spanish–Thai Chamber of Commerce at the Embassy of Spain in Thailand. The contribution was raised through the Chamber’s Annual Charity Dinner, with Mr. Mario Jimeno Bennassar, General Manager of the Spanish–Thai Chamber of Commerce, presenting the donation to support the LIFE 2 Project, which aims to promote livelihoods and economic empowerment for women and girls in underrepresented communities.

On this occasion, Mr. Mario Jimeno Bennassar expressed his appreciation for the partnership: “We are very pleased to collaborate with World Vision Foundation of Thailand, as we have seen the positive impact the organisation has consistently brought to communities. As a long-standing Spanish community in Thailand, we believe it is important to support and give back to Thai society.”

He further added, “The LIFE 2 Project, which focuses on strengthening the capacity of women and girls, is one of our key priorities. We want to begin by supporting them at the foundation level, and we hope that this donation will help expand the project and amplify its impact.”

The LIFE 2 Project focuses on developing vocational skills, creating sustainable income opportunities, and empowering women and girls to achieve long-term economic stability. The project also aims to improve the overall quality of life for families and communities in Ban Yang Pao Community, Omkoi District, Chiang Mai Province.

This contribution is a testament to the strong collaboration between the Spanish–Thai Chamber of Commerce and World Vision Foundation of Thailand, with the Chamber providing financial support while the charitable organisation works directly with communities to ensure that resources are used effectively for the best benefit of women and girls in vulnerable areas.

On this occasion, Thanawadee Onginsea, Relationship Manager and representative of World Vision Foundation of Thailand, expressed her gratitude and reaffirmed the importance of the partnership: “World Vision Foundation of Thailand is truly pleased and honoured to receive support from the Spanish–Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Spanish community in Thailand. This contribution reflects the strength of international cooperation towards a shared goal of improving the lives of women and girls in remote and underrepresented communities. We look forward to continuing this partnership to enhance the resilience and capacity of these communities for a sustainable future.”

This support represents a shared commitment to creating opportunities for remote communities and strengthening their prospects for a more secure future. It is also a meaningful example of collaboration that generates tangible positive outcomes for Thai society. World Vision Foundation of Thailand remains committed to transforming this generosity into sustainable change that reaches communities most in need across the country.
