World Vision Foundation of Thailand Joins Hands with Prudential Life Assurance (Thailand) PCL

Supporting 1,500 sets of essential supplies and 130 sets of student desks and chairs for families and schools affected by the 2025 southern floods

World Vision Foundation of Thailand and Prudential Life Assurance (Thailand) Public Company Limited continue the Southern Post-Floods Recovery 2025 Project, delivering 1,500 sets of essential supplies to families impacted by the floods in Songkhla Province. The support covers four districts, Thepa, Sathing Phra, Krasae Sin, and Hat Yai, with particular focus on bedridden patients and households with elders, who are among the most vulnerable groups in the post-disaster period. Moreover, 130 sets of student desks and chairs were handed to affected schools in Krasae Sin and Thepa‑disaster period.

This aid is part of World Vision Foundation of Thailand’s disaster risk reduction management, which includes emergency relief assistance for those affected by natural disasters and public health crises; strengthening community resilience; and supporting community and school disaster management committees to improve preparedness in protecting lives and property during emergencies. The approach emphasises in-depth needs assessment, accurate local data, and assistance tailored to the actual needs of families during crises.

Between 30 January and 5 February 2026, a total of 900 relief kits were delivered across three districts: 300 kits in Rong Subdistrict, Krasae Sin District on 30 January; 300 kits to 300 families in Khu Kut Subdistrict, Sathing Phra District on 5 February; and 300 kits in Pak Bang Subdistrict, Thepa District on 6 February. An additional 600 relief kits will be provided to affected families in Hat Yai District on 10–11 February.

During the same period, World Vision Foundation of Thailand also delivered and provided more than 130 sets of student desks and chairs to affected schools, supporting the continuous recovery of children’s learning in the area.

This project implementation reflects World Vision Foundation of Thailand’s commitment to its disaster management ministry, including situation assessment, coordination with local authorities, and effective distribution of assistance that is comprehensive and reaches the families most in need.
