World Vision Foundation of Thailand’s Kaeng Krachan Project Receives Certificate of Recognition and Showcases Programme Outcomes

Child‑Friendly Province Project 2026, Phetchaburi Province

On 27 February 2026, World Vision Foundation of Thailand’s Kaeng Krachan Project received a “Model Child Protection Network Partner Certificate” under the “Child‑Friendly Province Project 2026” from the Department of Children and Youth, Phetchaburi Shelter for Children and Families. The recognition aims to promote collaboration in child protection and to strengthen and sustain child and youth systems at the provincial level.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Mrs Apinya Chompumas, Director‑General of the Department of Children and Youth, with Mr Chaipol Phutonglom, Deputy Governor of Phetchaburi Province, and Miss Jaruwan Cherngchanwich, Phetchaburi Provincial Social Development and Human Security Officer, jointly welcoming participants. The event was attended by distinguished guests from government agencies and civil society organisations.

Ms Wilaiwan Jorknew, Programme Manager for Phetchaburi, Ratchaburi, and Uthai Thani, represented World Vision Foundation of Thailand in receiving the Model Child Protection Network Partner Certificate under the Child‑Friendly Province Project 2026, Phetchaburi Province.

The project aims to enhance systematic child and youth development efforts by applying the “Child‑Friendly Province” concept as a guiding framework. It operates through collaborative mechanisms among local child and youth development partners to create a safe and enabling environment for holistic growth, ensuring that children and young people are protected, treated with dignity, and enjoy a good quality of life, with support from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.

Mrs Apinya Chompumas, Director‑General of the Department of Children and Youth, together with Miss Dutsadee Khumraksa, Head of the Phetchaburi Shelter for Children and Families, visited World Vision Foundation of Thailand’s exhibition booth showcasing programme outcomes.

In addition, World Vision Foundation of Thailand organised an exhibition booth to present its ministry implementation in child protection, as well as outcomes related to improving the quality of life of children and families in Phetchaburi, Ratchaburi, and Uthai Thani provinces, where the organisation is currently operating. The exhibition reflected the organisation’s impact and ongoing role in creating positive change for children and communities.

Youth Vocational Skills Development Project is one of World Vision Foundation of Thailand’s key ministries, aimed at strengthening work readiness so that young people can generate income and sustainably support themselves and their families in the future.
World Vision Foundation of Thailand continues its child protection ministry by addressing issues of abuse, exploitation, and all forms of violence through creating safe environments within families and communities, while promoting life skills that empower children to protect themselves.
The booklet “Cyber Bullying”, recommended for adolescents in the digital age to help them recognise and prevent online harassment, was also distributed to interested participants joining the event.

This event served as an important platform for strengthening local child and youth networks and provided an opportunity to exchange good practices, contributing collectively to the development of Phetchaburi Province as a truly child‑friendly province.
